Rick Waters is a Business Agility Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer with more than 15 years of technical product development experience and has been practicing Agile since the early 2000's. He credits his diverse background working in different roles for his ability to effectively connect with cross-functional teams. Over the last 10 years he has devoted himself to helping organizations of different industries and sizes to achieve greater success in their Agile transformations. Rick’s passion is coaching teams to achieve improved outcomes by focusing first on team health and dynamics and then on engineering and process. Since 2010, Rick has coached more than 90 teams, participated in over 1000 Sprints, and helped teams move from deploying once per year, to once per week. His experience with the US Army and the Boy Scouts of America as well as his interest in psychology has given him a people-first perspective that he also brings into every class he teaches and team he coaches. Rick is known for designing and delivering extremely creative courses both in-person and virtually. Along with the Certified Scrum classes he also teaches Business Agility Coaching and Kanban courses.
